New Food Friday


I have been a bit so so about the flavours of feast lately, so mum decided to try something new.  She bought some whiskas Chicken and Turkey flavour with gravy.  It comes in a 85g sachet. 

I seemed to eat it quickly and sucked all the gravy off, leaving just the chewy bits.  I am going to give my new foods 3/5.

    That sounds nice Poppy! Chicken and turkey...
    All my pussy~cats used to love Whiskas..mixed
    with flavoured biscuits..the biscuits would soak
    up all the gravy..Yum! Yum! :).

    Unfortunately, that happens a lot. I wish manufacturers would make the food pieces smaller. My old cat would definitely be more likely to eat the gravy AND the food.

    Oh, I know all about trying to interest cats in new food because they are lukewarm about their old ones. It's an on-going operation. Sigh.

    Hello Poppy .... Miss Pippi & fat Blackie sometimes eat this meal ... they do exactly what you do & that is lick all the gravy off!! They seem to enjoy it for awhile & then - for no apparent reason - they turn their noses up at it & give me "the look". I hope you don't do that to your Mum Poppy?

    My 3 eat the gravy off anything that has it, and rarely do they eat the chunks... except the ones we call 'crack'.... Hartz delectables stew and their favorite flavor is tuna and whitefish (but they're pricey!!!).... They like the Sheba perfect portions in whitefish/tuna and delicate salmon flavor, too (no gravy--but not as pricey!).

    Since Bella has been an outside inside cat she has become so much better at eating all her food
    She loves the fish in jelly packets
    She eats them all up and will come and ask for more!
