Twas quite the royal Caturday here in the capital city. The sun was shining, and it was quite warm when Prince Harry arrived. Alas mum was unable to pick him up at the airport or take him round for a day out as she was stuck working all day and evening. We hear he got a big old greeting, shook some hands, did a hongi (a Maori greeting done by pressing noses ), cuddled a puppy, talked to some kids, laid some ferns at the tomb of the Unknown warrior, shook some hands, got in lots of selfies, talked to more kids and went to the Rugby. Phew we bet he is tired tonight, and he is staying at the end of our street at the Governer Generals Place. We bet he is annoyed with all the student parties happening tonight - if we can hear them, he can hear them. Also the hospital helicopter has buzzed overnight. Bet that wakes him up too!!
Mum did manage to finish reading her book on her break today, and pop over to the fruit and veg market. She got lemons, pumpkin, leek, onions, carrots, swede, parsnips, sweet potatoes, corriander and some peppers. We think it might be vege delight for mum all this week!!!
So my day was spend relaxing in the sun in the morning, and snoozing on our bed for the rest of the time.
Hope you all had a great Caturday too!!!

Half way through Caturday, over here Poppy!x Just had sardines on

HeHe! No visitors..Please!
Poppy, it sounds to me like you had a better day than Prince Harry!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to be a cat Poppy! The Prince's schedule sounds like too much doing to us.
ReplyDeleteSasha, Sami, & Saku
We didn't realize Harry was visiting! But we bet he's right in the middle of all the parties, not annoyed at all. :-P
ReplyDeletePoppy, dear, this young man was probably too tired to hear anything -- but his brother does fly medical-rescue helicopters, so he might have awakened long enough to say a "bless you" for the crew and passenger. Your mum's raid on the produce department is fascinating: what does she do with pumpkin? Would we Yanks call it a squash?
ReplyDeleteI don't know how he does it. He was here shaking hands and kissing girls and now he is visiting you and doing it all again.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here is cold and wet. Perfect for snuggles on the couch.
Have a great Sunday
Harry...annoyed with parties? Never! There will probably be a photo of him joining in the fun. He's 5th in line now so all pressure is off. I think he's looking a lot like Diana's brother Charles Spencer. Not the best look, you know. I'd love your Mum to see him in person.
ReplyDeletePrince Harry will be gone from the Governor General's residence soon, and he can catch up on his sleep. What about the poor GG and his family? They get the noise every night.
