So mum thought she would head out and do some fun stuff, but the washing machine kept going and it seemed to take her all afternoon to do the dishes and vacumn the house. A big pot of leek and potato soup was made all ready for the storm due overnight. I slept the day away and was glad to hear mum pottering about. She has a book to finish reading tonight and a new one to get started tomorrow. Doc Martin on Netflix tonight and a few temptations for me and some chocolate for the mumster.

ooooO! I love soups..and leek and potato soup
ReplyDeleteis one of my very favourites..especially with
garlic bread..! Yum! :).
I've just got back from town, glorious sunshine,
though a bit chilly, same forecast for the next
few days..
And quite a surprise this morning, l was asked
to do an interview in town, for the BBC..new
program called 'Simple Minds' due on TV next
February..there travelling around the country
to the smaller towns, interviewing people who
live there..and..what they think of there towns!
Sounds interesting..! ;).
Poppy, dear, your mum's pottering is known as "advance preparations." She is a wise woman who knows how to batten down her hatches with a big pot of leek and potato soup (and a supply of Temptations) at hand.
ReplyDeleteI think kitties sleep well when their person is home.
ReplyDeleteSounds like mum will have a bit of relax when she finally sits down
with a book and TV.
Sounds like a pretty darn good Saturday to me Poppy !!! Especially the chocolate for Mum !!!
ReplyDeletePoppy, it sounds like Mum was very busy today. We hope tonight and tomorrow are more relaxing for her (and you)!
ReplyDeleteIt's comforting to wake up half-way through a snooze and hear your mum home in the house, eh, Poppy?
